Introduction

  JADIS Academics:

  JADIS adopts a systemized and well-documented curricula for all subjects
(Math, English, Science, Computer, Social Studies, Art, P.E. Arabic, and Islamic) across all grade levels for both American and Cambridge programs.

  American Curriculum:

  JADIS offers the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) American Curriculum for all grades in English, Math, and Science materials aligned with ELA common core standards integrated with the newest learning management system that gives 'digital natives' the learning experience that they have come to expect. It is the online destination for standards-aligned content, flexible class management tools, and embedded assessments that deliver rich data instantly to our teachers.
JADIS offers its students of grades 9 to 12 the American Diploma Program by providing them with weekly ACT/AP courses to prepare them to be prepared to appear for the ACT1 and ACT 2 examinations. It should be noted that JADIS is now officially recognized as ACT1 and ACT 2 examination center.

  British Curriculum (Cambridge):

  JADIS offers Cambridge Primary to our ( 5-11 years) students, and Cambridge Lower Secondary (12-15 years) students, since it can provide a broad and balanced education for our learners, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, work and life. We selected main subjects as English, mathematics and science in addition to many other subjects such as Social Studies, ICT, Art that provide plenty of opportunities to develop creativity, expression and
wellbeing in a variety of ways.
The selected curriculum is flexible, so we can shape it around how we want our students to learn. Subjects such as the Saudi Ministry of Education subjects: Arabic
Language, Islamic, and Saudi Social Studies will be also offered in combination with Cambridge curriculum and adapted to suit our context, Saudi and Islamic culture and school ethos. Our schools will offer Cambridge Primary alongside our American and Saudi Ministry of Education subjects or as part of a bilingual program.
Cambridge Students start being trained for the Primary checkpoint exams from Grade 4 and appear for these examinations at the end of Grade 6.

  Best Practices

  The written curricula direct pedagogical and assessment practices in the school through:
a) Lesson plans: For each lesson covered, a lesson plan is prepared by the subject teachers, then checked and approved by senior teachers. Specific objectives, activities, information procedure, and evaluation methods are formulated and communicated to students.
b) Weekly plans: They are prepared by subject coordinators, including lesson schedules, quizzes, homework, class work, online assignments, and are communicated to parents and students on the school’s website and Dashboard.
c) Weekly schedule of pop quizzes.
d) Mid-term and Final term Assessments. Schedules are prepared and sent to the school’s community.

  INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES

  JADIS Teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to ensure effective student engagement in learning, including critical thinking and creative thinking, problem solving, knowledge attainment and application skills:
Unit/Lesson plans are designed to accommodate student centered instruction, collaborative learning, speaking skill/literature discussion of whole class, pre-during-post reading activities, blended learning (Pearson online classroom),class/students' class dojo, short/long term projects, flipped classroom instruction (grammar & vocabulary), class presentations (prepared by the students), role play, and lab experiments for Science, Listening skill performed at the Phonics Lab.
Intellectual Development
• The Formative and summative assessments results such as worksheets, quizzes, tests, presentations, research, classwork, homework, recitation, term exams and standardized test results.
• Students are using technology in classes such as smart boards and tablets. Projects that are prepared by students in different subjects (Math, Sciences, English, Social Studies, etc.)
Physical development
• Activities that promote health and nutrition care: Health Week, Hygiene Day
• Awareness Campaigns: Mental Health Day, Child’s Rights Day, Human Rights Day, Child’s Abuse Day, Sport Day, Yoga Day
